The 50000 Pyramid was a US TV game show which started in the early 1970’s and was hugely popular in its day. It came back for a brief run in the early 2000’s, though is no longer running. The retro feel of the IGT slot of the same name does a great job of recreating the 70’s vibe. The symbols, bonus game and (most of all) the music are bright and verging on the deliberately cheesy.

One thing that struck me about this slot it that it is much faster than most other slots. The spins are quick and wins are credited even quicker. This is a positive for me; sometimes it can be frustrating waiting for minor wins to add up when you would rather move on to the next spin.

The reels feel crowded. Symbols are blocky and colourful and include things like TVs, cars, contestants and the celebrity star.
